Is there anything you have learnt so far Taff that you would do differently if you were trying this again? I.e would you chose a younger player like Pellegri so you had a wider range of ages, or at least more time to get to 3k Also do you think it would help to keep your best player in the central spot and your worst on the right? Isaks decision making is kinda low so just wondering if he misses chances that Mbappe would score. It would probably mean all 3 wouldn't hit 1k each but might make it easier to hit 3k between them

All part of the game, but shame, but this was always a huge task and I never thought I'd get there, but it will be interesting to see how far we get

Yeah, both Mbappe and Rashford have had spells where they have dominated (wait for the next two seasons and you'll see what I mean), maybe I wouldn't have switched them around so much and just played them where they were best, but the constant tactic adjustments meant that the striker who was doing well in one spot stopped working and the other picked up, so it's hard (and I know @Ashez will agree with me on this) to get all three scoring consistently, but I'm happy(ish) with how it's gone so far

MRI

Season 10

So now into our 10th season and the boys are doing well, but still a long way off 1000 goals each, so we moved into this season with the aim to improve this, especially for Rashford as the oldest player I needed him firing.  So on we went to get these guys to the Holy Grail

I decided this season to go back to a 343 so we needed some alterations to the squad

We bought in some fresh faces to bolster the squad, McFadzen from Liverpool to give our midfield some muscle, Desio and Fritz came in to be our new LW options, Diallo (who was a squad member a few seasons back, came in to help out the aging defence and Britto da Silva comes in as our new #1 GK (after I gave DDG a coach job, realised he was shit, sacked him and he disappeared all together)

With a new tactic we got rid of our CB's with Hernandez, Bellerin and Henrichs all leaving.  Laporte and Martial who wanted more game time I couldn't give them and they left at the end of the season 

So with a different tactic and some new players we set off on our 10th season

Domestic

Our domestic season starts with a bang as my three striker combine to knock 5 past Monaco in the Trophee des Champions, and our season is off to a great start

Monaco again suffer at the hands of the PSG machine as we take the Coupe de la Ligue away from them thanks to my Midfield, Striker and defender

We get FMM'd in the French Cup quarter final as we lose to Reims who score with their only shot on target 

But we dominate in the league with another perfect season and just smashed the goals in netting over 160 over the course of the year

Europe

We begin the season again with a dominant display in the Euro Supercup thanks to a 6-1 win over Benfica

We dominate our UCL group with a perfect record winning all 6 games, and moving on to the knockout stages

Olympiakos managed to hold us to a tight 2-1 win in Greece, but the visit to Aldi's Carpark proved too much and we decimate, thanks to 4 from Mbappe

Why do Monaco even bother showing up, once again the first leg is a tight contest, but Mbappe with 4 again helps us to a 9-0 win in the 2nd leg and an 11-0 agg score to move us on to the semi finals

We drew the first leg this time 3-3, but once again Aldi's Carpark is a fortress and we knock the gunners out of the UCL with a 7-4 agg score to once again reach the final

Where we lose the UCL for the first time in 10 seasons and I'm gutted, we were 3-1 up with 15 minutes left, they bring it back to 3-3 and then bang 2 in ET to take the UCL title away from us

CWC

Enough said

So we missed on on two trophies this season and that has left a bitter taste in my mouth.

But the trophies are the side challenge to this and now it's time to see how MRI managed this year

Mbappe once again unable to break the 60 mark and while he can be utter class, he's failing to live up to the hype the last few seasons

What a huge improvement from Rashford, 1 more game played than last year, but 22 more goals, fantastic going from the now veteran Englishman 

A dip from Isak, but Rashford just stole the show this year so no complaints (or nothing I can do worth complaining about)

All three now over the 500 mark and Mbappe is close to 600

I was happy with how the tactic was working for us, but needed something to get all my strikers somewhere near the same level

Before you say it, paying £180M for a player I sold two seasons ago is criminal, but there are no other solid CD options and with Laporte leaving I decided to bring him back, Valero is my new AP along with Felix on a free so the £110M I paid kind of balances out for 2 such talented players.  Kasperkiewka was a new backup backup CD and Huzsohl was the backup backup striker

The only two sales were ones made at the end of last season with Martial and Laporte leaving for pastures new

So let's get back on track here with a clean sweep guys

Domestic

Mbappe comes out flying in the season opener netting 4 to help us overthrow OM in the Trophee des Champions

Isak does it all himself in the Coupe de la Ligue Final netting all 4 goals in our win over LOSC

A tight game in the French Cup final, that saw us throw away a 4-0 lead to be all square at 4-4 after 62 minutes, but goals from Mbappe and Isak win us the cup that eluded us last season

And I seem to have forgotten to screenshot the league table, but trust me it was another perfect season and roughly 150 goals for us, 

Europe

No Euro Supercup this season after missing out in the UCL final, so it's straight into the group stages

Another straightforward group stage which saw us take on Man U, Valencia and PSV with no major drama

so onto the knockout round

Now I don't normally share the first leg games with you, but this one I just had too

Thanks to all three of my star strikers we smash 9 past Spurs in their own house (god it looks so pretty)

We also dominate at home thanks to the boys and walk into the q. finals with a 13-2 agg score

We lose the away leg in this fixture against FCP 1-2, but braces from both Rashford and Isak help us overcome the result and move on to the semi finals

Another loss in the opening leg thanks to a 4-5 scoreline in Bayern, but Isak once again proves the saviour as his double give us the away goal advantage and we move on to the final 

 

A hard fought game against Rome, but we just edge them out and win back the UCL title

CWC

N/A 

So a much better season, winning all competitions, but let's get down to the nitty gritty, now you might have noticed that during those finals and such that Rashford didn't appear as much as the others so you'd think he couldn't get to the 70+ he had last season, well you're in for a shock.

Only another 50+ goal season from Mbappe and that's 3 in a row after breaking the 70 goal mark the previous two seasons

OH YEAH look at those numbers (yes he played 5 more games than last year) but he returned 89 goals for the season and I am over the moon with the turn around in numbers

Isak back up in the 60+ goal club, but no one was taking Rashford out of the equation this year

That fantastic season from Rashford has now put him in the lead with over 650 goals.  can we make it??? (I Hear the NO!!! cries from @samhardy already)

And I think the reason for Rashford's high numbers could be that Felix and Dembele didn't take as many goals (which is strage as I didn't really mess with the tactic too much

But some huge assist numbers from Isak and Rashford this season, along with Desio all above 30 assists for the season

Season 12

Once again sorry for the delay on the updates, with the VPL and my son being ill I've struggled to get the season done, but we're wrapped up now and ready to share.  I'm going to rock through this one quick so let's go

Gallen came in as another solid CM option, Stadler came in as my backup RW, Sene as another cog for the defensive machine and Caroff was a GK graduate who went on loan and then got released at the end of the season 

Out

Diawara, Visser and Pavon all refused to sign new contracts, so decided to cash in and got £84M for the three of them so not all doom

A Rashford hat-trick sees off Monaco in the season opener, leaving off from his great performance last season 

Isak this time with a brace helps seal the win over Guingamp in the Coupe de la Ligue final

Mbappe this time netting twice with another from Rashford to seal the deal on all three domestic cups this year

2 annoying draws stop us achieving another perfect season, but we killed the league as always 

Europe

All three of my boys grab a goal each in a good win over Real in the Euro Supercup

No worries in the UCL group stage as we beat Real two more times to progress through the knockout stages

Sporting up first and after a tight 2-1 win in Portugal, we show them some true power back at Aldi's Carpark and move on with a 7-3 agg score

Luckily our first leg performance was enough after suffering a heavy defeat in Germany, but we move on to the semi finals 5-3 on agg

Mbappe was on fire at Aldi's Carpark in the second leg of the semi final netting 5 to help us see off Spurs after a ding dong 7-6 first leg)

And the boys come through in the UCL final in a great game against Barcelona but we proved too strong and walk away with the UCL title once again

So a great season for the team, but how did the boys do, let's take a look.  And I didn't know their totals until the end of the season as I wanted to be surprised (or disappointed) so which one was it?

What a turn around from the nam, netting an extra 30 goals in only 7 extra games compared to last season

Rashford however went the other way netting 32 less than last season (all balances out I guess)

Another good pick up from the (not so young) Swede

Huge assist numbers there for Isak then my two wide players proving their worth getting just shy of 60 assists between them

Isak grabbing a buttload of awards this season and with a whopping 10/11 in the Ligue 1 team of the season, we are very happy

So that wraps up another good season in the hunt for 3000 goals

I'm going to take a break from this to try some one season challenges and keep up with the VPL, so I'll get season 13 to you at some point
