3 fantastic teams guys :) Can't wait to see the 1st challenge :)

The challenge is simple mate.

Win as many games as we can in all competitions with 3pts for a win and 1 a draw with GD in case of a tie.

3 great squads. Rob’s being my personal favourite 😛

As for a winner I’d like to say @Rob due to his squad, but his gung ho style of play may come back to haunt him. @Foxy‘s points management will see him get the win I think with @Woody coming second

I second this.

Team Rob. He’s managing the only respectable club out of the three.

Thank you, I think.

This is why I picked Liverpool 😉

Really hard to say I think as we all have amazing squads that are more than capable of winning pretty much every game. What we do have is small squads with only greyed out players as back up so squad management over the season is going to be crucial.

Team Foxy all day long, I trust his formation and he's picked very well to get the goods from it!

No Bale, Ronaldo, Messi or Suarez is bizarre though! I think @Woodymight have missed a trick here going for kids and not capitalising on these genuine stars being forgotten.

Foxy Season 1

It falls to me to post my results first and that means I go in completely blind as I have no idea if my results were good, bad or amazing. You have seen all the squads and we all have some absolute worldies that have been built around our individual tactics so the margain for error is going to be very small I think.

Injuries

With 23 man squads we can be susceptible to an injury crisis and although I never got to that point during the season I did have a few players have some time on the sidelines for a decent amount of time.

It was Kylian Mbappe Who I was hoping to be my main goal threat that had the most time out with 2 injuries that totalled 6 weeks. I also had Martial, Dybala and Alli miss significant spells during the season.

Spoiler

There is plenty of strength to back up the odd injury in the squad so no excuses.

Cup Competitions

Our first chance of silverware came against Arsenal in the League Cup final and we put in an excellent performance to win the trophy.

Next up was the FA Cup and this time we had Man City to contend with in the final and it was another comprehensive win for us under the Wembley arch.

We made it a hat trick of cup wins in the Champions League final as we took on Real Madrid. This game was statistically closer but our superior fire power won the day for us.

Premier League

The way our scoring system works every game matters but of course the league is still the bread and butter of this save as it has the most points to play for. With that in mind I was delighted to get an unbeaten season but that doesn’t tell the full story. I had 3 draws which means if any of the other lads have 1 more win than me they will score as many points even if they lose a couple of games.

Team Stats

As I hoped Mbappe was top scorer but it’s a shame he missed so many games and he could have got a lot more than the 37 goals he did get. Dybala was involved in the most goals with 33 for himself and 26 assists.

Points

So how does this all add up for my season 1 score?

Remember it is 3 points for a win and 1 for a draw in all competitions with goal difference being used as a decider.

I went the whole season unbeaten but I did have 5 draws which could be a major factor.

59 x 3 = 177 + 5 = 182 points

Goal Difference = 156 points

Not a bad start but as I said before being unbeaten doesn’t mean I automatically take a round 1 lead even if @Rob and @Woody have lost the odd game.

Fabulous season! You can’t do much more than that. If one of them beats that score you’ll just have to hold your hands up and move onto next season.

That’s true, it’s those draws that may cost me but I couldn’t have done much more.

Woody's update - Season One.

With @Foxy opening up his classic biscuit tin of awesomeness and posting a truly top score in his 1st season the pressure to keep up with him was huge.

CUPS:

Lets get some silverware out the way 1st.

The 1st trophy of the season was the highly coverted Community Shield.

A close game but we ran out winners in the end.

Then came the Carabao Cup.

An absolute dominating display against Liverpool.

The FA Cup was next.

Unfortunately we met a sticky end in Spurs at the semi final stage losing an exciting game on penalties.

LEAGUE:

Our domestic league form had to be damn near perfect to beat Foxy.

Screenshot_2019-01-14-00-50-32.thumb.png.0d7a3ee87f657a8021ba49afeed2ddec.png

Unfortunately, despite going unbeaten the 3 extra draws meant Foxy would be leading going into Rob's turn.

The squad performed pretty well as from experience i have found the EPL a tough league so im really pleased.

Taking Schick as my main striker and Hazard as my main provider the two were immense.

45 assists is awesome from the little Belgian.

All that i had to do now was win as many as possible.

So how did our whole season pan out..

Unlike the lovable Foxy i could'nt go undefeated as the Carabao Cup loss and a Champions Cup loss to Bayern put paid to any chance of keeping pace with the fury fellow.

So how did that transfer into points.

52 wins x 3 = 156

9 draws x 1 = 9

Total = 165 points.

+ 110 goal difference.

Its over to Rob now to blow me out the water and put some pressure on Foxy.
