Turns out being knocked out was the motivation I needed to start a 1kc I've wanted to do for months, I even smashed the first season out in two days! A long way to go yet but I'm enjoying playing again so thank you @Nucleus!!

Gone back to basics and playing how I used to and it's feeling good so far, questions remain if I can keep this frame of mind for 15 odd seasons though!

Not sure if this is what the rest of you are experiencing as well, but can someone explain to me why my team seem to wipe out larger teams with a puny Bournemouth but struggle to win against lesser opposition? I'm pretty sure it isn't just because the AI for larger teams are complacent...
