Career The Adama Traore (x3) One Season Strikerless Challenge

Hi all, as a brief break off from my Bermuda Triangle career i fancied a quick one-season challenge that i never got round to on '19. 

I also thought i would try and get a score on the board before the strikerless king @Robhas a go!

First of all my club choice isn't particularly inspiring as we are heading to PSG.  My players aren't top quality so i have tried to counter that with an easier club choice to give us chance with points and goal difference and also a good budget. 

As for the players, you may have guessed from the title that all three go by the same name - Adama Traore.

Our first Adama (and probably best known) is the former Boro man ripping it up for Wolves currently.  £37.5m later and he was with us at PSG.

Next up is a more central player who was on loan at Metz from Monaco, he costs us £5.75m and looks pretty promising.

Finally our third Adama, and our poorest by the looks of things, is a left winger who cost £3.7m from Metz.

 

So there we have our 3 x Adama Traore's.  I will post a half season update perhaps later today or tomorrow, and then a final update to see how we got on.

Love it. Good luck. I think you’ll do a worldy job with this considering some of the nuts formations you use.

I know and only 15 for strength seems too light to me. Thanks Foxy.

Thanks Rob, pretty standard strikerless formation on this one so far but i may tweak as we go.

Yeah when i said not top players maybe that was stretching - they are very decent looking. First crack at this so not expecting a great score but fingers crossed.

Half season update.

Going along nicely in the league, 85 from our points and GD.

Now to our 3 x Adama's and it is the central player from Monaco who is really tearing it up. Some really nice attribute gains and 30 goals and 4 assists from 24 matches. He is our penalty and free kick taker i should note so that helps.

Next up is our former Wolves man. A really disappointing return from him, again his attributes have increased steadily but i have been focusing on shooting and that has only gone up one notch. Just the 6 goals and 6 assists from him.

Finally our left winger who looked the weakest to start with has had a really nice jump in his dribbling and crossing. An ok start from him as mainly a supplier, he has only 3 goals but 13 assists.

So that leaves us on 147 points at the half way stage, not going to break any records here but i am still hoping to get over 300.

Will finish up over the weekend and post the final results.

Adama had a bad season there, same goes with Adama but Adama had massive goals for first half of the season. Hope he can double the tally

To sign off this short challenge here’s a brief summary of how we got on. 
Domestically we weren’t really challenged as you would expect. 

Our goal difference plus points gives us 186.
 

 

We had some luck in the CL semi with a 93rd minute og sending us through.

 

Nice win in the final.

 

Now to our Adama’s and first up is the former wolves man who gets us another 25 points with 12 goals and 13 assists. Disappointing return from him but to be fair he wasn’t on any set pieces.

 

Next up was left winger Adama who got us a very reasonable 43 points with 14 goals and a very nice 29 assists.

 

Finally the star of the show was this guy who played central as a treq and scored 58 goals and got us 18 assists giving us a fantastic 76 points.

 

So that gives us a very decent 330 points! Not quite hitting some of the scores of last year but very enjoyable and will have another crack at some point. @Foxycould you please add me to the leaderboard, thank you.

I'm going to be frank with you, Smog. Can't say I'm not disappointed in you for not listening. That's not at all the score I wanted you to put on the board. Now I have to go and try to beat that. Sucks.
