Not sure what happened to Koutsias, mightve been because my two best crossers left, Saelarmakers and Inacio. But other than that I cant work out why his goals dropped so much.

Season 11:

Greek Domestic Double, out in the CL Group Stage and lost in the Europa League QF. 

 

 

Vasiltsis Aerial jumped by 2 randomly. GK got an increment this season but only passing and Dribbling went up by 1.

 

122 goals this season between them, GK back to his best with 70, the other two combining for 52.

 

GV: 256

ST: 308

GK: 488

 

Total: 1052/1500

 

We have passed the 1K mark, the last 448 goals should be close now.

Thanks mate, yeah I can't wait till its over 😂, I think having these three up top has really affected my performance in Europe, just 1 Europa and 2 Champions leagues in 12 years is dreadful.

A clean sweep for I think the first time ever, so that was nice. 

 

 

GV is the first to reach the big 3 0. 

 

120 goals again this season, GK scored 71, GV with a measly 19 and ST got 30.

Total: 1287/1500

Yep, two more seasons and this is done. 

Well done! GK was my favorite from the get go and glad that he got back on track after that 52 goals season.

I'm glad to see Koutsias has become a fan fave on here 😊 when he was just 16, I expected him to be the star of the group and he hasn't disappointed. Thanks for the support fellas.

Season 14:

Back to back clean sweeps, the CL is easy all of a sudden with 3 CL trophies on the bounce now. 

 

No major signs of decline yet. 

 

132 goals this year, which I think is our best Club Goals only total ever in this attempt.

 

I need to admit to something very stupid now though, for the last 13 seasons before this one, I played my lads in one team and had backup strikers play in the other team which meant my lads were playing 90 mins a week in one match, with the B team strikers playing the other 90, so I'd never sub off any of my strikers, this season, I put the Athengers in both A and B teams and had my backup strikers on the bench to sub on about the 60/70 minute mark depending on our schedule of course, anyway having managed thier minutes a lot better this season, they were able to play a lot more games and minutes overall, which low and behold led to more goals 🤷‍♂️ who knew! Anyway that's for me to learn from in future, but I thought I'd mention it and show yous how lazy or stupid or negligent I've been for 13 bloody frickin' seasons 😂

 

GV: 329

ST: 383

GK: 707

 

Total: 1419/1500 

81 TO GO! 

 

We are well on course to finish the challenge next season, and this season is anything to go by, we will have it wrapped up a couple months before the end. Thanks for reading and I can't wait to tuck in to the season finale tomorrow.

Season Finale:

The time has come. 

 

Players Final Attributes:

GV was injured for two months this season which accelerated his decline, GK and ST though still look decent. 

 

Goals:

18 for ST, meaning we need 63 goals from the GV and GK. 

11 from GV, leaving 52 for the god amongst men that is Giorgos Koutsias. 

As if there was any doubts, in just over half a season he scored 53 goals, what a man! 

And the game that sealed the challenge:

That goal in the 5th minute done it for us, then he upped our total to 1501 in the last minute. 😍😍

 

Final manager stats:

We creeped past a 80% win percentage, scored a shed load over our career.

We won the Greek League and Cup every year, European Trophies were a struggle especially early on, but we did win 3 CL's on the bounce to make our trophy cabinet look a bit more respectable.

After 14 and a half years, our 'Greek Gods' have accomplished this huge feat, had I not done this challenge in a lesser league, I never would have achieved this with these players, but for a scaled down league, I chose extremely sales down players and so I'm delighted to get my name on the TT board and I plan to go for the Triple Crown as I never got round to it last year.

 

A massive thanks to all who commented and supported the thread throughout the last two weeks, or if you just read it, I appreciate that just as much 😊

Great job mate, a big ask to do it with those lads, but they sure played their hearts out for you! Might have been just in time though, to judge from their attributes - the next couple of seasons would probably turn ugly. 

Gave me a good laugh about your squad rotation, though nit sure it'd make a huge difference. I play them for 60/70 mins every game and sub them off, which means they get more games and are on the pitch for more first halves (which generally see more goals). That looks good on the surface, but I'm sure my players get run down more with the constant games, getting tired, then jaded, whereas true rotation would avoid that.

Anyway, great work, looking forward to what you do next!

Thanks mate. On the rotation thing, I felt playing them in more games then subbing them off was actually better, but I only had one and half seasons to test it, so it's a small sample size compared to the other 13 years, still it's something to ponder in my next challenge.

Cheers George. Though I'm not going to bother getting the 1k at leat not right now, maybe in the future I'll come back to this save and see if I can push for it. Only 240 to go like, so maybe its possible, but I don't think it would be an official 1k as he didn't play in a 1 striker formation
