Career Donovan 2.0 - A Multi-challenge (Season 2)

So, after losing my IF DT save and generally getting frustrated over Efe's performance, i thought about taking some rest and ponder on what to do next.

The remaining badge attempts crossed my mind but after having failed at Ronaldo challenge for umpteenth time, i am still not in the mood to play them because, call me obsessive but i want to complete the badges in order so until i cross of Ronny, i will not attempt 7 & 8.

That being said, i also was in no mood to go back to the IF challenge as it had already broken me.

So, i thought the best thing to do is to go back to a challenge which i enjoy a lot - a strikerless career.

But i wanted to be unconventional and a challenge caught my attention:

The Landon Donovan Challenge

I have never been able to complete it last year after once again overwriting the save but this time thanks to inputs from @George Traistă, i will make sure to backup so that i never lose my save.

This also coincides with the Creating a Club Legend by @FuddledFox  and here is his figures from transfermarkt.co.in 

 

So, i need to score 137 goals at a better GPG than 0.43 and also emulate the American legend by not only scoring goals but also assists - a perfect recipe for strikerless.

 

So, hope you all will be supporting me the way you have done with all my previous careers.

The player is on the verge of finalization so any suggestions or predictions would be welcome.

So, the player i have chosen is in the wonderkid list this year and i used him last year a bit but never long enough and never as a main man. 

 

He has all the tools to be a good treq so need to wait and watch.

First season coming soon.

I had Busio when we did Augusta but by the time I needed him he was too old and only used him as backup for one season. He was ok-ish, I've used him as AMC(AP)

A host of players brought in on free and bosmans as we blowed 95% of our budget on bringing Busio in.

 

Season History

We managed to pick up the US Cup while getting eliminated in the playoffs of MLS.

 

League Performance

27 goals and 9 assists in the regular season, just missing the Golden Boot.

A further 2 goals from pens in the playoffs but no assist sadly. 

He has the selfish player note so getting assists out of him can be a chore i think.

Some nice all round development and i have been training him as a CF to get his shooting and aerials up. Seems to be working so far.

Won everything but missed out on Champions League, losing in the final to Monterrey of Mexico.

His development carried on but not at the rate that i would have liked.

He missed a month but also completely phoned in the later half as i rejected offers from Leipzig and Dortmund and he was furious again.

Count me in, RB Leipzig bid for anything and anyone with above a 7.2 rating this year. They bought about 12 players from me while I was in Korea in CC, tried to buy my players while I was in Poland in the same save, and have continued to haunt me into TTR by bidding for everyone who is supposed to get miles for me.

A nice season for the youngster. Hopefully he can get himself settled down and you can keep those interested clubs off him.

Yes, hopefully he does as he has moody personality so perhaps I have got my  hands on another loose cannon.
