So hello there and welcome to my daily random questions. I feel like we all know enough about how we go about FMM. But off topic wise, I don’t know enough about you all, I need to know your addresses, what time you’re out of the house etc.

Anyway, day 1 is a tough question, I am going to ask you to name your top 3 games on any consoles that have ever existed, if you can’t bring it to 3, just add more👍

1. Super Mario Kart on Super Nintendo (Played this so many times with my brothers it’s incredible)

2. Tony Hawks Underground on PS2, I played this game so much as well, a lot of time went in to this.

3. Super Mario World on Super Nintendo, played so much on this as well, I think I was in my prime game playing times when I played from here until the end of PS2 and then FM took over!

Special mention to premier manager 1998, 2003, WWF SmackDown! 2: Know Your Role 2000", Grand Theft Auto: Vice City and FIFA 1998 as they had indoor and I loved that. Defo forgotten things but they were first on my mind.

Lovely selection you’ve got there mate, all those are absolute classics! I’ll happily give you my top 3:

1: Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 (Xbox 360) - purely because of the memories of coming home from school and spending endless hours on it with my friends, who are now my lifelong sidekicks😄

2: PGR4 (Xbox 360) - one of the lesser knows racing titles but it added fuel to my obsession with cars and was really ahead of its time.

3: Diablo 3 (PS4) - somehow, some way I ventured into the Diablo franchise without ever really having any interest in that game genre. Completed the game 20+ times, numerous all-nighters with my mates and I never got bored of it to be honest.

1. Forza Motorsport 2 - XBOX360, became the first game that I could have played forever (had the sequels not come along)
2. Street Fighter II - SNES, It was such an intense game that you could play in the arcade and also play together at home with friends.
3. Sensible Soccer - Just so much fun, can't remember where I played it first, but it def found its way to the consoles.

Notable mentions - Also a big Super Mario Kart fan, Spy Hunter, Gran Tourismo 4 on Playstation, NHL 9x (prefer the older ones).

Brilliant idea young lettuce 👍.

I have a lot of experience with games. Spent almost 70% of my primary school days with games. Very hard to choose but I’d probably go for these:

  1. Call of Duty: Black Ops. The first CODof the  Black Ops series had been my favourite game for years. I still remember that day when Reznov died after escaping the Vorkuta Prison. I still remember those days when I was grinding rounds in Kino Der Toten. Simply brilliant!
  2. FIFA 15. I can say this is simply the best fifa I’ve played. I still remember my magical trio of Goretzka-Coutinho-Tielemans while managing managing Liverpool. Nothing but Vibe, Long Shots and Goals on Legendary.
  3. Jetpack Joyride. One of those gold era of mobile games. Spent hours on this game. Hundred thousands are my food. You can certainly say how much time I’ve spent on this game 😂

Honourable mentions: Call Of Duty Black Ops II, FMM 2018, Fruit ninja, Critical Ops, Osu!, Score Hero

Such a good variation of games there guys! So many games I loved growing up, I don’t feel the same connection as I did about 10 years ago and further. I do love a UFC game as well.

The first Metal Gear Solid, Fifa 98: Road to World Cup and Championship Manager 01.

These games stand out to me straight away.

I'll keep it to three as I've discussed this many times and done things like games of the decade etc, however I'll do AAA and an Indie section.

In no order as I just couldn't do that haha

AAA

1. Super Mario World - Pure comfort food

2. The Legend Of Zelda Breath Of The Wild - The best experience I've ever had, if I could experience one game for the first time again it would be that.

3. Batman Arkham City - Using the animated Series as a base brings the nostalgia, the combat system is fluid and the Metroidvania type gameplay is extremely satisfying. Only the boss fights really let the series as a whole down.

I wanted to include Pokémon (but which?) And Devil May Cry 3 but oh well.

Indie

1. Darkest Dungeon - A game I was addicted to for months, it's soul crushing yet rewarding and I just love everything from the artstyle to the battle system. DD2 is soon and I'm hyped even if it is only early access.

2. Dead Cells - One of the best 2D platformers I've ever played, the movement and combat is so exciting and frilling.

3. Minecraft - Maybe a stretch to call Minecraft an indie but it was back in the day and it deserves a mention. Not a game I've played too much as I don't allow myself to get lost in it but I still watch more of this game than I should haha.

Question for Rich: when are you going to admit to the rest of the forum that you were born in Bradford and not Wales?

I was holding off until @Nucleus finally returns, thanks for ruining it!!

Question for Rich: why aren’t you supporting Leeds then? Clearly a better club than some certain Alan Shearer tax club.

Exactly! Instead for some reason he chose Newcastle and pretends he’s Welsh.

It depends, something to play solo or with friends?

I'd have to top solo game would be FTL, love that game, into the breach is ok but just not as good.

I spent so much time playing the various cm/FM games on the PC it's hard to say which is my favourite, the one that sticks in my mind would be probably cm 00/01 or the one before.

I do love a good strategy game and I'd probably say the first Dawn of War was immense. Ticked all the boxes, but the second one changed it up by not being base building.

Eve Online has a special soft spot in my heart, so much time put into that when I was finishing uni and just after.

Lovely first set of answers boys, really varied games, makes me want to get a PS5 now to be honest with you!

Question 2

Your 3 favourite films?

1. Goodfellas - Honestly can’t even think how many times I’ve watched this film, I can still watch it any time and not be bored.

2. All The Mighty Ducks, don’t care if this is sad or not, i bloody LOVE these films, they are the film of my childhood and I can still watch them now 😂

3. The Wolf Of Wallstreet, honestly is so hard to pick just 3, but I went for wolf of Wall Street as it’s one I’ve watched so many times over the past decade, can Watch it any time.

I have so many more films I love as I’m a massive film fan, so hard keeping it to 3!

Would love to hear yours😁

2. The Dark Knight ( Only because Heath Lodger played the best Joker of all time)

3. The Godfather (Who doesn't like a movie about the mafia)

Ready Player One - For the massive amount of easter eggs in the movie

Matrix & John Wick movies - Keanu ftw 🤣

Marvel & DC movies - I'm a massive geek for the both universes (bit more Marvel though) 😅

Guardians of the Galaxy.

I'm massively going to cheat but the cheats are basically one story 😛

1. The Dark Knight Trilogy

2. The Lord Of The Rings

3. The Lion King (original)

Edit

What you think of Casino @Rich? I've always liked that more than Goodfella's, both excellent though.

For me I'd say;

Empire Strikes Back, it's just so good. Love the Hoth scenes, plus one of the best jaw drop reveal moments in cinema history.

For the other two it depends on my mood, I know what the wife would say (see I listen!) Serenity and The Mummy.

But I think I'd have to say Fight Club, one of the few films I've watched at the cinema and wanted to go straight back in and watch it again.

Stranger than Fiction, love it. Will Ferrell doing a fairly straight role, nice twist and a good all round film.

Honourable mentions to The Matrix, Avatar, Unstoppable (great Ridley Scott film that doesn't have Tom Cruise in) and The Martian (one of, if not the best film version of a book).

So… everyone loves action movies? 😂

  1. The Fault in Our Stars
  2. La La Land. Don’t ask me why
  3. Dark Night Trilogy. Christian Bale is personally the best Batman. He was born in Wales too unlike some Englishman claiming he’s Welsh.
