I don't think you do have to buy the player yourself.  I have just unlocked my son in my Middlesbrough challenge when Connor Ripley retired and he was with me from the start as i'm only using academy players in that save.

Yeah, that's what I meant with he has to arrive in the same window/season as you do. It won't work with a player who already played a season for your team.

Nothing of serious note apart from the signing of super back up left winger Sissako for a massive £144m + player deal. Seriously though, he looks incredible and I’d rather he be on my team playing second fiddle than tearing up the champions league with Sevilla.

Whilst his form during the month of February for the club was scintillating to say the least..

All in all he had more or less a full season by playing 59 games and scored a whopping 102 goals.

Not even tempted to do that to be honest. I’ve not played the game in over a week 😂 I’m sick of it at the moment to be honest

Thanks Woody, I think 110 is his biggest, not quite sure actually. There’s a couple of lads who have smashed that anyway. I believe Scratch has 120+?

Season Eighteen

I guess it’s time I put out another update on this seeing as it’s been over two weeks since the last one! I’ve been hit with the FMM Burnout, and I’ve been hit hard with it. This save has reached it’s conclusion, although you’ll all have to wait a little more until I reveal Silva’s final goal tally.

Transfers:-

No transfers out or in this year apart from the usual graduates getting released/promoted

Competitions:-

• Supertaça - Beat Feirense 5-1 with Silva scoring four times in the season opener
• European Super Cup - A brace for Silva followed in a 3-0 victory over Bayern
• Club World Cup - Beat Flamengo 6-0 without the need to unleash Silva
• League Cup - Beat Portimonense 4-0
• Taça de Portugal - Lost 2-3 in the sixth round against Feirense in a match where we never really got out of first gear
• League - Comfortable league campaign for our 18th title in a row, 132 goals scored is massive!
• Champions League - Beat Juventus 6-2 with Silva scoring a hatrick and having another goal disallowed for offside

Well well well, Silva has massively declined from what he used to be. He’s still on paper a fantastic striker, but the high greens are dropping into low greens and he’s effectively a shadow of his former self.

That didn’t stop him netting 25 International goals this season, including this six goal haul against Turkey at the European Championships

At club level he missed out on a few games due to the early elimination in the Cup, but he still managed a very impressive 95 goals, bringing his season total up to 120 goals. I’m absolutely delighted with that from a 33 year old past his prime!

Club - 1610

Total - 1920/2000

80 goals remaining for Silva to cement his place in Vibe folklore! This save could culminate in the next season, or it could go on, or it could fail...
